Start to the end The Toyota Supra was first produced in 1978 under the name Celica XX. One year later, the car was exported from Japan. In 1998, the US halted the sale of the Toyota Supra and it was only in 2002 that Toyota stopped its production in Japan. The reason Toyota stopped its production was the increasing costs due to the exhaust emission targets.
